Thibaut on fly mode!

Thibaut Courtois spoke to Téléfoot about the past season at Real Madrid, and was also subjected to a fun test, the answers of which gave an insight into the world of the team's dressing room, its characters and their quirks. Thus, Courtois has lifted the lid on some of the secrets of Valdebebas and the Real Madrid dressing room and has quenched the curiosity of many fans.

From Los Blancos' worst dressed and jokers to the grumpiest and those addicted to their phones, the Belgian has been pointing fingers at his teammates. Nacho Fernandez, Luka Modric and Dani Carvajal, were named by Courtois as the grumpiest in the squad during the interview with Telefoot. But there was more: he also revealed who has the best taste in clothes, who tries more to uplift the others with good music etc.

When asked which players reacted worse to losing a mini-practive match in training, Thibaut had no doubts. He said: “Three of them - Modric, Nacho and Carvajal. Whenever we play those mini-matches, we take a photo of the winners. We call them The Three Vinegars because they are always bitter in defeat and get a little angry. They're the three who least like losing."

On the other side of things, the dressing room has its share of jokers as well, with Marcelo and the departing Sergio Ramos two of the players most responsible for the laughs: “Jokes and banter in the dressing room? Marcelo loves joking and Ramos too. I think overall, there is quite a lot of banter between us, when we play piggy in the middle, it's non-stop and it's great fun”. Courtois, though, did say that Toni Kroos' remarks "are dry and funny," without branding the German as the funniest.

When asked who was the best dressed Courtois said: "[Marco] Asensio dresses well and Ramos has style. I think for those who work in the fashion industry, he is very stylish. For fashionistas, I think, he has good style. It wouldn't be what I'd wear, but he comes in dressed well. Mariano [Diaz], too. And Carva..."

The Belgian was also asked who the most technically skilled in the squad: “Marcelo is very good technically,” he said. “[Toni] Kroos, Modric, Eden [Hazard].”

There is always someone in charge of setting the mood by organising the music. Courtois revealed who is the most affiliated with the music and what their tastes are: “Right now, we can't all be together, so it's a bit difficult. Usually it's either Marcelo or Sergio Ramos who bring the music in. When it's Ramos, it's Spanish music, reggaetón, etc. Marcelo likes to put on the classics, R&B, hip hop… so it's a little bit different. It's good that we have mix of both styles though”.

Finally, Courtois was asked who spend the most time on their mobile phones. He made a little self criticism and accepted that he was more connected to his phone than most of his teammates: “I’m one, I admit it. Modric also uses it a lot. The younger one are always on their phones. If you go into the dressing room after a game or a training session, you'll see 20 players all on their phones... I don't think it's a good thing to be honest, but it's a sign of the times we are living in”.
