Real Madrid continues the run towards the title and the 12 point difference with the closest follower remains 12 points. Casemiro and Vasquez scored one goal each to give the three points to Madridistas. Carlo Ancelotti appeared in the press room at the Santiago Bernabéu following Real Madrid's win over Getafe.

The coach said: "It was a really good night. Getafe beat us in January and we were concerned because we were coming into it after the Champions League and we could have slipped up. The guys who are playing less like Marcelo and Camavinga helped the team and were ready to be called upon. We're in pretty good shape. Our run from October to December was very good and we built up a lead in LaLiga. Now the team is in good shape and we have to keep it up".

"We didn't lose our heads after the Barcelona game. We had the advantage and we had to manage it sensibly. Today could have been a bit of a banana skin after the Champions League game but the team responded well, we controlled the ball, pressed well and didn't take any risks at the back. Everything went really well", he continued.

Casemiro to miss Sevilla clash: "He won't be available against Sevilla, but the way Camavinga and Valverde performed shows that this team isn't only about eleven players. It's tough to find someone like Casemiro. Kroos and Camavinga have different attributes. If you want to bring the ball out, Kroos is an option but it depends on how you want to approach the game".

Mendy: "He had a muscle strain and we preferred not to take any risks. At the last minute we had a problem with Mariano. Apart from Militão, I think everyone will be fit for the Chelsea game apart from Hazard, who’s recovering from his operation".

His most special league: "It's difficult to say because all the titles are important. I don't want to dwell on it because the league isn’t over yet. We have the advantage, but we also have some very tough games. I’d rather answer this question at the end of the season”.

Bale: "It didn't bother me that he was whistled at. He's training well and he wants to work hard and help the team. That's the most important thing. We need everyone and it's very important for the fans and the players to be united".
