Casemiro spoke to the media in the Real Madrid City press room ahead of the Champions League quarter-final second leg against Chelsea (Tuesday, 9pm): "We have to go in to it with the idea that it's going to be a very difficult game. We had our best 90 minutes of the season in the first leg, but we can't be complacent, especially given the coach's words about them. I'd like to ask the fans to get behind us because it'll be difficult as we're up against the champions and we respect them. We have to give our all along with the fans because it'll be very, very difficult".
"When talking about Real Madrid, we always talk about winning everything. Everyone wanted to win a title at the start of the season, to be in the knockout stages like this and 12 points clear in LaLiga. We're working hard, but we've still got the hardest part to come", he added.
The key to the team's good form: "It's the badge. This club lives to win games that people think are impossible. Even if people don't believe it's possible, we go until the end, we're Real Madrid. It's the key to everything. We believe in ourselves until the end and we give everything out on the pitch".
The system: "That's a question for the coach. I want to play, but when we play with Valverde we play a certain way and when we play with Asensio or Rodrygo we play another way. The main thing is that we all want to win".
Was El Clásico a timely scare: "Nobody likes losing and less so in a Clásico. We'd prepared well for the game but lost and didn't execute what we'd planned. This can happen throughout the season, but the main thing was the following games. No one wants to lose that way against Barcelona".
Criticism: "Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, whether it's justified or not. That's the beauty of football, everyone has their own opinion. The most important thing is to not be disrespectful. We're Real Madrid, the biggest club in the world. We continue doing our thing, winning games and titles. We're in the spotlight and there's no one who's going to take us out of it".
Chelsea physical condition: "I can tell you now that it's not going to be an easy game. We've got our home crowd behind us. They've got their strengths and we've got ours. The better team will go through to the next round. Like I said, they're the reigning champions and we respect them".
"It's necessary to respect the referees and the opposition. We all want to do our best out on the pitch. I defend Real Madrid and the referees try to not make mistakes, but it happens sometimes. Respect is essential".
Benzema's leadership: "The only thing that's changed with Benzema is the goals, he's taken a huge leap forward. He reads the game and talks to us the same. Sometimes people only see the goal's he scored during the 90 minutes, but we see what he brings every day. The way he plays, his movement... This footballer is the club's history books. He's been playing at the top level for a long time now and we just want to continue celebrating him. He's very important for us, probably the most important at this moment in time".
Good personal form: "Everyone can evaluate my performance this season how they like. The most important thing is that the coach trusts me. He knows how important all the players are. I always try to give my all on the pitch and without a doubt, the performances against Chelsea and Getafe were very good".
Card against Getafe: "What happens on the pitch stays out there. It's essential to show respect. I shouldn't be picking up a card for complaining, it was my mistake, especially given how important the game against Sevilla is. It's sometimes difficult to control yourself on the pitch, but that's where it stays".
The support from the fans: "When they whistle at one player, they whistle at all of us. Everyone has an opinion in football, but I don't like it when they whistle one of my teammates. We give our all out on the pitch and I don't agree with it. I didn't like the whistles for Bale the other day because he's a part of the club's history. He's scored a lot of important goals. They're whistling the club's history. We're all in it together and I want the Bernabéu to make my hair stand on end".
