Camavinga joined Real Madrid in the last day of transfer market this summer. Since then he has managed to win the hearts of all Madridistas in a very short period of time. He has shown maturity and great talent. Everyone hopes rightly so that he will be a key player and a future star at Real madrid. But what has been his adaptation period at Real Madrid like?
Eduardo Camavinga has revealed that Karim Benzema helped him adapt to his new environment at Real Madrid, following his summer move from Rennes. The 18-year-old Frenchman revealed that he was welcomed by all of the Real Madrid players, but he explained why he is maintaining a closer relationship with his compatriot.
"I'm very surprised, because they are very humble players, especially with Benzema. Benzema put me at ease straight away. They even started joking with me, even though I don't speak Spanish, it was fun. Both Luka Modric and Benzema gave me a different name, Camavinga said with a laugh in his face during a press conference with France's Under-21 Team.
The youngster continued: "It's a secret, I'm not going to say it, but it means that I am already integrated. And then we can also speak in French with Benzema. I sit next to him at the table. He told me that as soon as I need something, I should let him know. And at the table we laugh. When we laugh, it's because it's going well”.
Camavinga went on to reveal the main difference between LaLiga Santander and Ligue 1 before stressing that his objective is to be called up to France's senior side once again. He said: "I love the Spanish league. It's less physical than the French league. Regarding the France team, my role with the U21s has not changed at all, I'm still the same player. They will not see me with a magnifying glass because I have signed for Real Madrid. I can continue to contribute my experience to the U21s. But it is clear that my goal is to return to the senior side”.
