International duty for Madridistas [3rd update]. The others train at Real Madrid City with Castilla.

In the absence of the players who are out on international duty, the squad is training with Castilla at Real Madrid City. Meanwhile, the other part of the madridistas are getting ready to represent their national teams for the whole week. The list of Madridistas called by their national teams this September include: Carvajal and Asensio (Spain), Courtois and Hazard (Belgium), Mendy, Camavinga and Thouameni (France), Modrić (Croatia), Alaba (Austria), Rüdiger (Germany), Lunin (Ukraine), Militão, Vini Jr. and Rodrygo (Brazil) and Valverde (Uruguay). Below are the fixtures and results:

Spain-Switzerland (1-2)

Portugal-Spain (Tuesday, 27 September, 8:45 pm)

Carvajal and Asensio have been called up to the Spain squad for the two Nations League fixtures. The forward was in the starting eleven in the first game, playing 63 minutes. The defender was not involved. Next up they head to the Braga Municipal stadium to face Portugal.

Belgium-Wales (2-1)

Netherlands-Belgium (1-0)

Belgium, with Courtois and Hazard in their ranks, have two Nations League commitments. In the first clash, both players featured in the win against Wales and in the loss to the Netherlands. The goalkeeper played the full 90 minutes in the latter match while the forward was replaced in the 64th minute.


France-Austria (2-0)

Denmark-France (2-0)

The French national team, who have Mendy, Camavinga and Tchouameni in their squad, are in Nations League action. In the French’s victory over Austria, Mendy and Tchoaumeni played the full 90 minutes, while Camavinga was not involved. All three players started the game against Denmark.

Croatia-Denmark (2-1)

Austria-Croatia (1-3)

Modrić will be captaining Croatia for two Nations League outings. In the first clash, the madridista played 93 minutes in his side’s victory against Denmark. He started the second and scored the opening goal as his team beat Austria to book their place in the Nations League Final Four.

France-Austria (2-0)

Austria-Croatia (1-3)

Austria have called up Alaba for the country’s two Nations League fixtures. The defender played 69 minutes of his country’s game against France. His national team's group stage drew to a close with a defeat against Modrić's Croatia. The defender started and played the full 90 minutes.


Germany-Hungary (0-1)

England-Germany (Monday, 26 September, 8:45 pm)

Rüdiger is also playing for his country in the Nations League. The defender played the full 90 minutes in the first game against Hungary. They next take on England at Wembley stadium three days later.


Scotland-Ukraine (3-0)

Armenia-Ukraine (0-5)

Ukraine-Scotland (Tuesday, 27 September, 8:45 pm)

Lunin’s Ukraine will be playing three Nations League games. The goalkeeper did not feature in the game against Scotland but was involved in the win over Armenia. They now finish with another fixture against Scotland at the Józefa Piłsudskiego stadium in Kraków.

Brazil-Ghana (3-0)

Brazil-Tunisia (Tuesday, 27 September, 8:30 pm)

Militão, Vini Jr. and Rodrygo have been called up to the Brazil squad to play two friendlies. The three players were involved in the victory against Ghana at the Stade Océane in France. The defender played the full 90 minutes, Vini Jr. played 63 minutes and Rodrygo was brought on in the 80th minute. They next face Tunisia at the Stade de France.

Uruguay-Iran (0-1)

Canada-Uruguay (Tuesday, 27 September, 6 pm)

Uruguay have called up Valverde for their two warm-up matches. The madridista played the full 90 minutes in the first friendly against Iran at the NV Arena in Sankt Pölten, Austria. They next face Canada at the National Football Stadium in Slovakia.
