Vini Jr. has been named the LaLiga Santander Player of the Month for November. The Real Madrid striker helped his team remain on their perch at the top of the table and has played a key role in Los Blancos' front line.
Real Madrid finished the month of November with a full house of victories in the competition and they continue to hold the LaLiga Santander top spot. What's more, they are the most prolific side in front of goal, and one of the five most miserly at the back. Vinicius netted twice in November and sits second in the scoring standings both for his club and the division as a whole.
In addition to having his shooting boots on, the Brazilian number 20 has become one of the team's standout performers, not just for last month, but over the season so far, showing off his talent and playing a prominent role in Los Blancos' play. He provides assists and helps get his team on the front foot with his runs down the flank and his magical dribbling ability.
Vini Jr. follows in the footsteps of Robin Le Normand – who took the accolade in October – and garnered more votes than the other candidates in contention for the award: Antoine Griezmann (Atletico Madrid), Juanmi Jimenez (Real Betis), Diego Lopez (RCD Espanyol), Memphis Depay (FC Barcelona), Oscar Trejo (Rayo Vallecano) and Joselu Mato (Deportivo Alaves).
Vinicius Jr. has also been voted the Mahou Five Star Player of November for Real Madrid. The Brazilian has won the monthly award three times this season, having scooped it in August and October. The forward said: "The main factor in this good run is that everyone is working well, especially on the defensive side, where the team has been excellent. That makes life easier for those of us up front. I think I've improved in many aspects, but the main thing is a calmness to my game. I'm doing things more calmly and with more quality too. It's also easier for me when the team is in good shape".
