Besides the European Championship, this summer will offer for every football fan another great competition like Copa America. Many great players will of course be part of it and Madridistas cannot miss it. Four madridistas are set to take part in the Copa América, which will be played in Brazil from the 13th of June to the 10th of July. Casemiro, Militão, Vini Jr. and Valverde will be taking part in the competition from Sunday. Casemiro, Militão and Vini Jr. have been called up by the host nation, while Valverde is in the Uruguay squad.

Here is the program:

Brazil-Venezuela (Sunday, 13 June; 11:00pm CEST)

Brazil-Peru (Friday, 18 June; 02:00am)

Brazil- Colombia (Thursday, 24 June; 02:00am)

Brazil-Ecuador (Sunday, 27 June; 11:00pm)

Brazil have Casemiro, Militão and Vini Jr. in their ranks as they look to retain the title they won back in 2019. They have been placed in Group A, with four games separating them from a place in the quarter-finals. The first clash comes against Venezuela at the Mané Garrincha Stadium in Brasilia, before they face Peru and Colombia at the Nilton Santos Stadium in Río de Janeiro. They then close out the first round with a game against Ecuador at the Olympic Stadium in Goiania. Brazil coach Tite has included Casemiro, Militao and Vinicius on his squad list for the upcoming 2021 Copa America. Rodrygo didn’t make the list but will almost certainly feature in Brazil’s team to play the Olympic Games. Casemiro is an undisputed starter for Brazil and also a team leader. Militao could also have a chance to start regularly in the Copa America after his impressive performances for Real Madrid during the second half of the season, while Vinicius could ultimately come off the bench given the depth Brazil have upfront. This could be an important tournament for Vinicius, who is still young but needs to take advantage of the opportunities he’s given to make a statement and showcase his talent on the international stage. As always, Brazil will be one of the favorites to win the title, although teams like Argentina and Uruguay will also be candidates to come out victorious.

And then it comes the Uruguay of Valverde:

Argentina-Uruguay (Saturday, 19 June; 02:00am CEST)

Uruguay-Chile (Monday, 21 June; 11:00pm)

Bolivia-Uruguay (Thursday, 24 June; 11:00pm)

Uruguay-Paraguay (Tuesday, 29 June; 02:00am)

Valverde is in Uruguay's Copa América squad. The sky-blues are in Group B and will get their tournament underway against Argentina at Brasilia's Mané Garrincha Stadium. Valverde will then take on Chile and Bolivia at the Arena Pantanal in Cuiabá, before finishing off the Group Stage against Paraguay at Rio's Nilton Santos Stadium. Federico is certainly one of the top midfielders to watch out for in this tournament. The 22-year old, who has impressed with his performances in midfield for Los Blancos, has racked up 23 caps for Uruguay, who are one of the contenders at Copa America 2021. One of the brightest young midfielders in the game, Federico Valverde could be the standout midfielder for Uruguay in the Copa America 2021 tournament. The Real Madrid midfielder has put in vibrant performances whenever called upon and Uruguay will be counting on him to be at his best. A versatile player capable of playing in multiple positions, Valverde's stamina, speed, energy and range of passing will be crucial if Uruguay are to progress far in Copa America 2021.

It’s a whole great competition to be enjoyed and Real Madrid may see its boys doing well and pleasing the fans. Maybe the trophy will be held by a Real Madrid player at the end, who knows...!
