After Mbappe turned down the grand offer from Real Madrid, several people including personalities and also Madrid players have said and shown their position in their own way. Some of them clearly and the others in a subtle way. However it is clear that Mbappe’s decision was not really made in a proper way.
Romeo Beckham has shown how highly he rates Kylian Mbappe with a post about the Frenchman on his Instagram story. The Paris Saint Germain forward was pictured holding the two personal accolades he won in Ligue 1 this season. He both scored and assisted more than anyone else in the French top flight.
He netted 28 times and set up another 17 for his teammates. That clearly impressed Beckham, son of former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder David Beckham. He shared PSG's post of Mbappe holding the trophies and said: "This guy is a joke."
Beckham could do a lot worse than to watch Mbappe closely as he is currently a forward for Inter Miami's second team, the club that his father owns in the USA. He has made eight appearances so far in 2022 but is yet to find the back of the net.
On the other hand it was Benzema who got involved. The level of betrayal Karim Benzema felt from Kylian Mbappe looked quite palpable, especially after the recent Tupac Shakur reference on the Real Madrid striker's Instagram stories. All Madridista players felt bad about the situation created by the French striker but none of them more than Benzema.
For years, he had been grooming the star to someday play beside him at Real Madrid and he responded in the least expected possible manner. Countless public statements and gestures of complicity were directed towards the player who seems destined to become the best in the world quite soon. Benzema tried everything possible in order to convince him and it served no purpose.
In the picture he posted on Instagram Stories, Benzema dropped an image of Tupac Shakur shaking hands with actor Stephen Baldwin. At first glance, people who don't know hip-hop culture will be puzzled by the image. But those who are aware of it will realize that the attentions shouldn't be on Baldwin.
The man behind Tupac who is looking straight at the camera is the "friend" who allegedly betrayed Pac and ultimately got him killed. It is a clear reference to how betrayed Benzema feels by Mbappe, and how much mending the PSG star will have to do if he wants to have a comfortable World Cup experience in Qatar.
The world of football really caught a blaze about this posted an image of Tupac and a man who allegedly bretrayed him. This was an evident reference to the betrayal he felt when Kylian Mbappe back tracked on his decision to play for Real Madrid. On Tuesday, the Real Madrid star has been making the rounds with the press ahead of next weekend's UEFA Champions League final in which he is definitely going to feature.
But there was no chance all the Spanish media wasn't going to ask him about that Instagram story he posted on the day Mbappe decided to remain at PSG for another three years. Although he responded to many outlets about this, in short, the Real Madrid ace explained himself as follows:
"Betrayed? Why? Everyone needs to focus on other things," he said. "Mbappe and other players have no reason to call me. Each one decides their own future. I'm calm here, preparing for Saturday's game. To each their own. Surprised? I was surprised like everyone else. But he's a Paris player and we have a game on Saturday.
"The Tupac photo wasn't against Mbappe, I put it up because I love Real Madrid. This isn't a story of betrayal, or anything. Every month and a half I put up photos of Tupac, who's my favorite. It's not a photo with a message. If I have a message I'll see the person. Madrid is the best club in the world but it wasn't a message. I wanted to point out that this is our badge and we have to win the Champions League."
Other than this, In the aftermath of the transfer saga involving Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) forward Kylian Mbappe, several Real Madrid players have posted cryptic messages on social media.
Rodrygo, the young Brazilian forward, used a similar strategy, tweeting a photo of himself kissing the Real Madrid badge. Lucas Vazquez, a long-time servant, tweeted a photo of Los Blancos players celebrating during a match after winning La Liga. The Sapaniard captioned it: “Adieu to a one-of-a-kind league. What a blessing it is to be from@realmadrid”. Finally, midfielder Fede Valverde expressed his feelings on Instagram with a cryptic message that read: ”Being a Madrid native is a privilege not everyone can enjoy”.
