5 days ago, Real Madrid finally presented the away kit for the new season that will start the next week. On Sunday it was the time when the kit was officially used for a game. Rumors were already spread and it was more or less known what the kit would look like but Real Madrid still had to officially reveal their away kit for the 2021/22 campaign. Made in conjunction with the club's manufacturer Adidas, the strip will be predominantly blue all over, with the famous three stripes of the German brand in orange and the club's badge in white.
Real Madrid also made their official announcement on the website, stating: “Real Madrid and adidas have unveiled the second jersey for the 2021-22 season. The jersey comes in blue, which is combined with orange on the collar and the three adidas stripes. The logo, sponsor and badge appear in white. The design is inspired by urban art and represents the cornerstones of Real Madrid culture. The first team will don this jersey for their friendly against AC Milan in Klagenfurt, Austria, this Sunday, while the women's team will wear it this evening in their encounter against Sparta Prague. The new jerseys are made from primegreen, a range of high-performance recycled materials, and boast innovative heat.rdy-keep cool technology, which is designed to regulate temperature during matches. The new Real Madrid jerseys are now on sale exclusively at adidas and Real Madrid shops”.
Los Blancos' new shirt takes its inspiration from the Malasana district of Madrid, considered the home of the street art scene in the city. The patterns on the shirt reflect and represent the creativity that is permanently on show in this area, as well as speaking to the overall diversity of Madrid.
Real Madrid's men's team wore the kit for the first time in their final pre-season friendly against AC Milan in the Austrian city of Klagenfurt. Meanwhile, the women's team will have to wait for a few days until Thursday when they will encounter the Czech team of Sparta Prague.
The shirts are made with the material primegreen, and the innovative heat.rdy-keep cool Adidas technology aims to keep players as cool as possible during games. HEAT.RDY is designed to keep you cool in the heat during your round. Its features Body Mapping Technology which provides ventilation in key zones to keep you cool when the weather is heating up. Hybrid textiles with Aqua-X Yards draw sweat away enhancing the body's natural cooling process.
“Heat.RDY is powered by innovative cooling materials, moisture-beating tech and intuitive fits, to keep the air flowing and you moving. With yarns that soak up sweat and seams designed to reduce friction, it’s the perfect balance of style and performance. Every garment is comfortable, soft against your skin and designed to allow you a full range of motion”, writes on the official page of Addidas!
The kit is already available on the Real Madrid store, but from the club’s official outlet, the cheapest adult shirt available is €90. It remains to be seen whether Real Madrid will release a third kit this season, but it does seem likely, with a design of a light blue strip leaked.
