Today, Friday 11th of June, the European Championship will finally start and replace the Championship that Covid-19 denied us in 2020. It is 2021 and it may be a bit late, but the great emotions that this great competition brings will surely be the same or maybe even stronger since we have been waiting for so long. Of course, Real Madrid, as a great team with great players, will have its own representatives in this European Championship.
Unfortunately, Spain will be for the first time without any Madridista due to injuries, bad luck and of course because of the not so clear decisions of the coach Enrique. But however there are still other nations that will take Madridistas in their squad and the biggest surprise is France with Karim Benzema. The no. 9 of Real Madrid is wearing the blue jersey after a long time of 7 years... It was a great decision to bring him back and he totally deserved this after making great performances with consistency for several years. In the past 3 seasons, after the departure of CR7, he has been the main man of Real Madrid’s attack and has taken most of the weight on his shoulders bravely!
So, we have Kroos, Benzema, Varane, Modrić, Hazard, Courtois Alaba and Bale that will kick off the competition from Friday. Eight Real Madrid players will be representing their national teams at the European Championships. Benzema and Varane, with France; Kroos, with Germany; Modrić with Croatia; Hazard and Courtois, with Belgium; Alaba, with Austria; and Bale with Wales will play in the competition, which runs from 11 June to 11 July.
Wales-Switzerland (12 June, 3pm)
Turkey-Wales (16 June, 6pm)

Gareth Bale will look to help Wales reach the next round of the European Championships. The forward's opening match will be against Switzerland. He will then face Turkey and Italy in Group A. The first two matches will be played in Baku and the last one in Rome.

Denmark-Belgium (17 June, 6pm)
Finland-Belgium (21 June, 9pm)
Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois will represent Belgium in Group B.
The opening match for them will be in St Petersburg against Russia. They will then travel to Copenhagen to play Denmark in their second match. And they will end the Group Stage against Finland, again in the Russian city.
Austria-Macedonia (13 June, 6pm)
Netherlands-Austria (17 June, 9pm)
Ukraine-Austria (21 June, 6pm)
Austria have David Alaba in their squad for the tournament. In Group C, they kick their campaign off against Macedonia in Bucharest. Alaba will then plahy a demanding match against the Netherlands at the Johan Cruyff Arena before ending the group stage against Ukraine, again in Bucharest.
England-Croatia (13 June, 3pm)
Croatia-Czech Republic (18 June, 6pm)
Croatia-Scotland (22 June, 9pm)
Modrić will captain the Croatian national team once more in a major international tournament. To book their place in the last 16, Croatia take on England in their opening match at Wembley. They will then take on the Czech Republic and Scotland at Hampden Park in Glasgow.
France-Germany (15 June, 9pm)
Hungary-France (19 June, 3pm)
Portugal-France (23 June, 9pm)
Benzema and Varane are in Deschamps' squad to represent France at Euro 2020. Benzema and Varane are in Group F and will come up against Kroos' Germany, Hungary and Portugal. Les Bleus' opener will take place in Munich, with the other two matches played at the Puskas Arena in Budapest.
France-Germany (15 June, 9pm)
Portugal-Germany (19 June, 6pm)
Germany-Hungary (23 June, 9pm)
Also in Group F, Toni Kroos' Germany will fight for a place in the next round of the European Championship. The midfielder opens his campaign against his French teammates Varane and Benzema. He will then face Portugal and Hungary. All matches will take place in Munich.
It will be interesting to see who will have the best performances and Madridistas all over the world wish them the best for this experience!
