The great party lasting from the final whistle to the next night: Back to Santiago Bernabeu

As the tradition has it Real Madrid celebrated with the fans who ave been the 12th player on the pitch for the whole season making Real Madrid fly and give their best to overcome every opponent. They have been a huge help especially in the matches played in Bernabeu where Real Madrid made not less than three amazing comebacks vs the top teams of Europe leaving the whole world of football shocked but also showing that everything is possible when you believe, give your best and have loving fans supporting you!

The program to showcase the Decimocuarta to their fans was as follows: The team departed the Santiago Bernabéu at 6:00pm (CET) and visited the Almudena Cathedral at 6:15. They then headed to the headquarters of the Comunidad de Madrid at around 7:00 and, at around 7:45, to the City Hall. At around 8:40, the expedition arrived at Plaza de Cibeles before returning to the Santiago Bernabéu at 9:10pm, where the big party to celebrate the Decimocuarta got underway at 10pm. As always, Realmadrid TV followed all the steps of the celebration live.



Back to Santiago Bernabeu for the big party:


The Santiago Bernabéu was the final stop in the celebration’s of the club’s 14th European Cup crown. The players and fans came together to celebrate another continental trophy triumph following on from the visits to the institutions and Cibeles. The players enjoyed another unforgettable moment as those inside a packed stadium savoured the moment with the European champions.


Presented by Miki Nadal, the celebrations began with a reminder of the team’s 14 European Cup successes on the giant screens and footage of the thrilling route to the Paris title success, before Carlo Ancelotti’s coaching staff and the heroes of the 14th European Cup triumph paraded on the pitch.


The members of the squad were introduced one by one over the loud speaker and received a standing ovation as they set foot on the pitch. The final player to appear was Marcelo, who held the latest European Cup trophy in his hand. All of the players came together in the centre circle to lift the trophy and share it with the madridista fans, at which point the fireworks were set off as part of the celebration.



Thanks: Carlo Ancelotti and Marcelo addressed the fans to thank them for their support: “Thanks for all of your support throughout the season. We’re madridistas, just like you”, commented the coach. Meanwhile, the captain explained: “This is a day of joy because we’ve won the best competition in the world. Marcelo was tossed up in the air by his teammates, the squad sung Hala Madrid y nada más, took a lap of honour and posed for photos with the club’s 14th European Cup to cap off another historic campaign for the best club in the world.


As everyone celebrated la Decimocuarta, madridistas expressed their delight during the party held at the Santiago Bernabéu.


Marcelo told the fans: “This is one of the greatest moments of my life, at the best club in the world. Today’s not a day for sadness, but joy as we’ve won the best competition in the world once again. I feel great pride. Thanks a lot for all the magical nights we’ve had here. I just want to say one thing, the future of Madrid is in great hands with the youngsters. Hala Madrid!”

“It’s the end of an era for me, but I'm going to do something with the club. I've experienced 16 years of joy at the greatest club in the world and I never thought I'd win 25 trophies. Real Madrid means a lot from the first day you arrive”.


Courtois: “This morning I still couldn't believe that I won my first European Cup. It's an incredible feeling. It's an honour for me to play for Real Madrid. I hope I can carry on like this and help the team to win more trophies because this is the most beautiful thing there is to experience”.

Ancelotti: “Thanks for all your affection this season. The comebacks in this stadium, pushing us forward. We've had a great time because we're madridistas just like you”.

Benzema: “Thanks a lot to the fans because every time we win a trophy it's for them. We need you behind us on the pitch, it's really good for us”.

Modrić: “What we’ve achieved this season is unbelievable. I want to thank the fans for their support all year long. They’ve been there especially in the difficult moments and in the comebacks they’ve pushed us to believe in what we’ve achieved”.

Vini Jr.: “I’m the happiest man in the world to be wearing this shirt. I hope to follow in the footsteps of my teammates. We've had a great season and had some great comebacks. I'll always remember the nights at the Bernabéu”.


Kroos: “I never expected to win the Champions League for a fifth time when I came here. I had a dream of winning one for Real Madrid, but that's four now. I'm not usually short of words, but now I am. Besides, with the season we've had, it's so hard to explain”.


Casemiro: “Never in my wildest dreams had I imagined winning so many trophies. This year we’ve had some incredible comebacks and we’ve enjoyed so many magical nights. This will always be the greatest club in the world”.


Carvajal: “I’d like to thank the Madrid fans for all their support. This year they’ve been our 12th player, especially in the home knockout stages. They’ve been a crucial part of those comebacks. Yesterday we managed to finish it off and I want to dedicate the trophy to them”.

Valverde: “I’m delighted because of the sacrifice made by the whole team. This is special, but it’ll be the first of many”.

Militão: “I'm thrilled, it's been an incredible party. It's a great joy to be able to share all this with the fans. This is priceless”.


Nacho: “Thanks so much for the year you’ve given us. We’ve enjoyed some unforgettable and historic nights. You all know that we always want more trophies. Hala Madrid!”

Rodrygo: “It's an extraordinary moment for me, it hasn't sunk in yet. We want to thank the senior players for their support, they always help us and that makes it easier for us on the pitch”.

Lucas Vázquez: “We're already looking forward to the next one, that's the secret of this team. We're going to keep working hard so that more come. Let's have a rest and then think about more silverware”.

Asensio: “When I arrived I won my first and it felt like a dream that couldn’t be repeated, but at Madrid these incredible things happen. There’s a very special bond with the fans”.

Camavinga: “I’m very proud to win my first Champions League with Real Madrid. I'm here to win lots of trophies, I hope to win as many as Benzema or Marcelo. Now I'm going to enjoy it”.
